Dempsey Partners, a leading forensic accounting, claims, and risk consulting firm, today announced the appointment of Robert Glasser, a prominent forensic accounting claims professional, as a partner in the New York office and leader of the firm’s U.S. East Coast Property and Business Interruption Claims practice.

Mr. Glasser joins Dempsey Partners from BDO Consulting, a division of BDO USA, LLP, where he led the firm’s New York Insurance Claim Services practice. He has over 30 years’ experience in financial management and accounting at public and private companies, and has worked with businesses across numerous industries to prepare and substantiate business interruption and property damage claims resulting from physical damage due to hurricanes and other perils. He has also been involved in forensic investigations from employee theft in the hospitality and retail industries.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Glasser was the chief financial officer and executive vice president of an international telecommunications firm. He also has served as chief financial officer of a product manufacturer and distribution company.

Mr. Glasser’s experience includes turnaround financial management assignments as well as extensive work in corporate planning and analysis, controller responsibilities and strategic planning. A Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner, Mr. Glasser also is certified in Financial Forensics and is a Certified Insolvency and Reorganization Accountant.

He has an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business, a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, New York Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.
